The theme of the First Asia Digital Library Workshop, organised by the Academic Authorized Java Campus at The University of Hong Kong, is "East meets West," where researchers, government and private sponsors, and practitioners in the digital library related areas and from US will report on their high-profile, high-impact federally-funded digital library projects to share with Asian researchers and policy makers who will also report on their own projects and experience. Pay a visit to the wonderful site of the Hong Kong Tourist Association and look at the wonders of Hong Kong, the Pearl of the Orient!

This workshop is not just for librarians, or technical experts and researchers of IS, MIS, Metadata, EDI, etc., it is for every one who is interested in providing/accessing electronic documents which have been put togther in the most efficient, effective and professional way.
